Plate Boundary - Hui Chen from Kara MacDevitt on Vimeo.

Summary

The plate boundary has three different type boundaries and these boundaries will create something. Convergent Boundary is when two plate move together and connected and two continental plates come together will create mountains. Divergent Boundaries is when two plate separates it will create Rift valley and mid-ocean ridge, when two oceanic crusts separates it create mid-ocean ridge, when two continental crust separates it create rift valley. Transform Boundaries is when two plate move opposite direction, it create earthquake and tsunami. Earthquake is when tectonic plate move and tsunami is happening under the ocean. Subduction zone is one plate subducts beneath the other it create trench and volcanic arc. Fault zone is a break in the ground that occurs. Hot Spot is rocks melt to generate magma. Ring of Fire is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur. for example: Earthquake at a transform boundary in China Sichuan in 2008. Tsunami in Japan on 2011. Mountain at a convergent boundary in Himalaya Mountain.
